ELECTRICAL LICENSES

Any person or contractor wishing to perform Electrical work within Bossier City MUST have a current Bossier City license. Before a license can be issued by the city, the contractor must provide a copy of their state license/or have passed the ICC exam for electrical master, picture identification, a copy of general liability insurance not less than $100,000, and pay the required fees. The same applies to electrical journeyman except for the general liability requirement. The same requirement applies in order to obtain an electrical sign manufacturer’s license.

FEES:

  • Master or Sign Manufacturer $150.00
  • Journeyman, or Specialty Journeyman $ 30.00
  • Residential Electrician, Specialty or Maintenance $ 25.00
  • Apprentice $ 15.00

To obtain an application for testing for Electrical Master/Journeyman contractor’s licenses come to, or contact the Permit Office.
